How to kill those pesky computer virus's!!!

Virus's, trojans, spyware and adware...we have all seen them and know what they can do to our computers. Each day 'hackers' are releasing more and more of these harmful things to the world wide web. It's not totally uncommon to get infected by simple viewing an image on a webpage.

There are tons of softwares that you can spend hours searching through. You can hope that the one program you pick to protect your computer will never fail you. But your searches will be in vain.

The truth about keeping your computer safe and clean is that you have to take sole responsibility in and keep tabs on your computer 24/7 or you will do no good.

How virus scanners work.

Some people are under the impression that virus scanners are supposed to scan your computer for infection and then fix them. While this is true to some extent, it doesn't exactly work that way.

Each virus scanner software has a list of known virus. If you scan your computer and the virus you are infected doesn't show up.....you will not get rid of the infection. Virus scanners are not built to remove virus's as they find them. They are just basically a database of text that searches your computer looking for anything that might resemble the virus. Once found, a set of instructions is ran to remove it. However, due to the vast majority of virus's out there and the overwhelming number of people who don't know what they are doing on the net, some of the virus's are coded to avoid detection and no one informs the virus scanner of this...so it goes un-noticed.

I wrote up an article so anyone reading this can get their feet wet and start removing virus's themselves. It's an arduous task but to be completely honest....it must be done if you want a secure computer!

The article lists a few free tools that you can use and where to get help if you get stuck. I can promise you this. If you learn to use the tools outlined in the article, you will be 100% virus free for the rest of your computing lifetime (or at least know how to be virus free).

Flash Element TD - Addicting Game

Since we get bored here often we are constantly looking for new and cool things to do on the net.

Just the other day we came across a browser java game. This game had me up for hours and hours.....and hours and hours.

Really, once I figured the game out I just couldn't stop playing it.

How does it work?

Take a look at the picture above. The game starts with a green grassy field with a small winding and narrow dirt path that twists all through the field. The dirt path is where creatures of all sorts (Imps, Goblins, Small Children) will walk down. Starting from the top left, they follow the path all the way to the top right. The object is to stop them before they get there.

To the right of the play field are your controls. The top banner tells you how much gold, wood and lives you have left. It also tells you your current score. You accumulate gold by killing the monsters that run down the path. Every 7 levels you get 1 wood.

Below that you see your 3 different tower categories listing 1-3 different tower types. Each tower specialized in a certain thing.

Basic Towers

Arrow Tower - Fast speed but does little damage. It's great for taking out fast monsters.
Cannon Tower - Your main tower. It's slow but packs a punch and damages more than 1 thing at a time.
Air Tower - This tower is the fastest attacking tower in the game and does decent damage. The only catch is that it only shoots monsters that are flying.

Elemental Towers

Water Tower - This tower fires at a quick speed as well. It does moderate damage and slows the movement of anything it fires at.
Earth Tower - Second most damaging tower in the game. It packs a huge punch but fires at the slowest rate.
Fire Tower - Great damage, Splash damage and slow fire speed

Combo Tower

The best tower in the game. It's fast, it's splash and it hurts.

Each time you kill a monster you are awarded gold. You purchase the different towers with the gold you earn. Every seven levels you get 1 wood. You use the wood to enable the building of Combo Towers and Elemental Towers. And thats pretty much it.

There is a score board below the game that constantly updates of other players score. Play to compete!

We really enjoyed this game and hope you do just as much as we did.

A new way to get paid for doing what millions of people do everyday.

Imagine if myspace sent you a check every week and the amount you earned depended on the amount of people you got to go to your site...how cool would that be?

Now I will not go into specifics, for that you can just visit the yuwie website. They do a better job of explaining the $ aspect of it better than I ever could. But just from a casual, newbish look at it this is how Yuwie works and how you get paid.

Sign up and deck out your profile.

If you compare the profiles you are capable of making with myspace you might be just a little disappointed. Yuwie allows almost 0 code to be added to your site. There is no need to browse the net to look for new layouts then copy/paste code. This is actually a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is that you don't have to worry about someone hacking your yuwie account. If you have ever been to a myspace layout page you know that some of them give you the option to log into your account and post the code for you. If you do this, your myspace account may get hacked. With Yuwie, you don't have to worry about that. That happens to also be the bad part. If you actually enjoyed just browsing for a new layout that looked nice and just copy/paste the code and doing virtually no work, then you may not like Yuwie all that much. You have to set the font color, background color, background images all by yourself. But still, even that is fairly simple. Just scroll to the category you are wanting to change and click an option from one of the drop down menues. Yuwie is a lot easier and safer to use than myspace but it also doesn't allow you as much customization as myspace does.

So how do you get paid?

Yuwie pays you by how many page views you accumulate. A page view is simply just getting a person to view any part of your site. A picture, your profile or even your blog. It doesn't matter. As long as they see some part of your yuwie site, you get a page view credit. Currently they are said to be paying $.50 per 1000 page views. Now this may not seem like a lot but take into consideration how easy it is to get someone to view your page. Invite and add friends like crazy. They will be directed to your page and asked if they want to add you or not (either way, you get a page view credit). If you wanted to be sneaky about it, make your profile private. That may spark peoples curiosity and add you as a friend.

MMORPGs, So many!

Do you simply just love MMORPGs? How many are you subscribed to? How much money to you pay for MMO subscriptions?

Well, if you're anything like us here at GetOnePC, your probably obsessed with finding the best MMORPG and letting reality slip through your fingers and enjoy letting a virtual game take complete control of your time and your senses.

While searching for the 'best of the best' in MMOs, we stumbled on to an amazing website. It's called Onrpg.com and let me tell you, this is the place to find all the hottest new and old MMOs. It's basically a compiled list of just about every MMO that you can imagine. While the bulk of it's listing contains links to free to play MMOs, it also offers links to payed MMOs as well as open and closed beta links to start playing some of the up and coming MMOs.

But it doesn't stop there. You simply just can not try out an MMO based on its name, style, or picture. What Onrpg.com has done is write up a review, posted pictures for each MMO they have listed. Not only that, they allow browsers to post their own comments about the games they have listed! You can browse by category, game type or even game author! It really simplifies the search for finding the MMO that you like best.

So this is where I am gonna tell you about the possibilies of making money online with AC. I recently found the time to hit the videos hard. I was able to turn out 32 peices of content. It got me about $224 and it doubled the amount that I have earned through AC. Right now I am up to a total earning of $481.67. In just 3 days I was able to double what I had made at AC. Starcraft 2: The Wait is Over!

Not too long ago, Blizzard Entertainment, announced their newest project. Starcraft 2! I, for one, simply can't believe it. I honestly had given up hope on ever seeing a sequel to the classic Starcraft. They are updating graphics, adding new units and doing an overhaul on their free to play servers.

If you haven't even played Starcraft or Starcraft:Broodwars I highgly suggest you pick up a copy today! It's a fast pace RTS game. It is extremely futuristic with a lot of flexibility. And if balance between the 3 optional races is your concern you have no need to worry.

This game has been around since the late 90's and the company has taken extreme measures to assure balance between the three races. So, no matter your preferance of race, you will also have a fair fighting chance! The community is still thriving as well. At any given time there are over 1000 games being played on each of their 4 different servers. It also allows different types of games styles. If you are not into RTS that much, you can opt to play a campaign map created by the community, play a defense map, bounds, watch a movie or even play classic games like monopoly with a Starcraft twist!

If you are a die hard fan like myself, then I will show you some of the new things they are included with the sequel.

The graphics engine has been completely redone. Everything has gone 3d!
Once again they will be including a map editor (a new one at that!)
All of the classic buildings have been remodeled to fit better with the new 3d engine!
Several new units!

The info that blizzard has released is very small. Currently they are only showing us the new units for the protoss race. They are as follows:

Immortals
This new unit replaces the old dragoon. Equipped with a new weapon and a devastating new shield against heavy artillery. While the new shield is great against strong units, it makes them vulnerable to weaker units.
Stalker
This unit replaces the Dark Templar. They are very similar to a dragoon. One of the best abilities of this new unit is blink (or teleport).
Phase Prism
The primary use of this unit is to transport forces across the battlefield. But perhaps the most useful ability is the psi field they can emit. Once you transform the unit you will be able to build structers powered by this unit without the need of a pylon!
Phoenix
This unit is replacing the scout and corsair. The unique ability this unit possesses is its AOE weapon. It has the ability to attack all units surrounding it at the same time. During the time it uses this attack it becomes weaker and easier to kill.

Squidoo a unique take on blogs and social networking.

This is simply a fantastic website. Imagine a place where you can sign upand talk about anything you wanted, sell products, participate in community activities and just make yourself and other feel good. This is what Squidoo is all about.

I highly suggest you all to sign up and become a member today. It's similar to having a blog but with a community of helpful members to help you out and who are looking for friends. I would have t say that this is a borderline social networking community. You can browse other peoples 'lens' as they are called to see what everyone else is up to. Not only that, you get paid for traffic to direct to your squidoo lens!

I set mine up over the past few days and I just started getting the hang of it. My lens is now published and you can view it by click here. Setting up your own Squidoo lens is fast and easy. Over the next few days I will adding stuff to our blog here on how to make even more money on Squidoo, as soon as I actually figure it out that is. One of our policies here at GetOnePC is to not promote anything that doesn't yeild results. So I just wanna be sure before I go off giving you ideas to make money if I we can't do it.

Once you sign up and create your lens the first thing you need to do is join some groups. Joining groups will help you get some traffic to your lens. At the beggining it will be very helpful! So don't neglect joining groups.

One last thing I recommend is filling out your bio and uploading a picture of yourself. People seem to have a greater sense of trust for those who are not affraid to share some of their personal interests. You don't want to look like a scam so, once again, be sure to fill out your bio and upload a picture.

Boot your computer faster!

Most of you may have problems with getting your computer to boot fast enough. I remember my first computer. The first time I pluged it in and booted it up I was soo overjoyed. It ran and it ran fast. However, the more I started using it the slower it seemed to be getting. It eventually got to a point to where I would boot it up and walk away for 10 minutes so it could fully load everything. At one point it got soo aggrivating that I started looking around for tips and tricks to get faster boot times.

Waiting for your computer to fully boot to a functional peice of technology can be a daunting task if you have a low amount of RAM and a lot of startup programs. I actually took my comptuer to a repair technician to get this problem solved. Their solution was to add more RAM and for a few weeks that seemed to do the trick. But it didn't last long. I soon came into the same problem. I remember the tech telling me that having more RAM can increase the overall speed of your computer so I started looking for information on how to get a hold of more RAM. Sadly, much to my surprise, I found out that I could not add any more RAM. My computer was maxed at 1GB of RAM.

After some experimenting I stumbled onto some extremely usefull information. I learned on RAM worked and I learned alot about how computers work. Here is what found out.

All programs require RAM to start up and run.
RAM is like a memory bank for your computer to help stat things faster.
The more RAM your computer has, the more it can handle.
RAM is used to store information about a program.
RAM is used to speed up the process of opening and runing programs.

Now after I learned all that I started to evaluate my computer useage. Every time I booted my computer, it loaded around 20 or so programs. This was causing a 'bottleneck' of information and my CPU was on overload trying to load the programs because I simply didn't have enough
RAM. I came to realize that the less amount of programs you have starting up during your boot, the faster you computer will boot!

Keeping a clean desktop (having a lot of desktop icons can slow down boot times as well) and minimizing the amount of startup programs you have will greately increase your boot times. I only had to do this once....until I upgraded to Wndows Vista. Once again, the vista boot time droped dramatically. After I did it once in Windows Vista I went from a slow boot to a speedy boot.

Widnows Vista -
The best OS yet.

So, why the late review you ask? I'll tell you why. Us here at GetOnePC don't like to take others words for it. Sure, we could have read others reviews, downloaded the beta and posted our thoughts but that isn't our style. It's both untruthful and inefficient. We have been using two different editions of Vista since release, Home Premium and Ultimate.

If you have been keeping up with the current rating on Windows Vista you may have noticed that thousands of people are complaining and trashing Vista. We just simply can't make biased decisions based on problems other people are having. Other peoples inability to get this OS working on their machine does not make Vista a bad OS. Let me tell you about the problems we did encounter.

Home Premium
The first edition we installed was Home Premium. Our system specs were the following....

AMD X2 3400+ Dual Core CPU
2x 70GB Raptor Hard drives (10k rpm)
2x 7900 GTX GeForce Graphics Cards
2GB of Corsair DDR RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound card
3 20.1 inch flat screen LCD monitors
5.1 Gigaworks wireless speaker system
Standard keyboard/mouse with a Nostromo N52 gamepad

The first problem we encountered was a driver problem. Since we decided to go with the cheaper editions (the upgrades, not the full installs) we had to come from XP. Our first attempt to install the Vista upgrade resulted in freezes and an inability to complete the upgrade install. We then decided to start from scratch. So we wiped the hard drive and re-installed XP, then loaded the motherboard drivers and attempted to upgrade to Vista again. Needless to say, that failed as well. We continued doing this and changing a few options here and there until we just gave up on installing motherboard drivers before we got to Vista.

Our last, and successful, attempt to install Home Premium required us to go directly from XP to Vista and skip the motherboard installation. Amazingly, Vista detected everything the motherboard needed to run correctly with the exception of our sound card drivers (the sound blaster audigy card). An attempt to install the sound card drivers with the CD provided by the retail package of the card resulted in several BSOD's and failed installs. We then scoured the net insearch of Vista drivers. Luckily we found them, although half the features this card had in XP doesn't work and itsn't supported in Vista. That in itself isn't bad because Vista makes several technilogical advances in that department. We consider anything that isn't Vista compatable, outdated hardware. It's as simple as that. If it doesn't work with Vista, it might as well be a legacy device. So we updated the sound card to the new X-Fi card, installed the vista drivers and voila! We have Vista Home Premium up and running and completely stable!

Vista Ultimate
Vista Ultimate pretty much gave us the exact same problem. We isntalled this on our 'ultimate' rig. Here are the specs for it.....

AMD 4600+ X2 CPU
1TB of hard drive space (Random SATA Western Digital)
2x 7950 GTX GeForce Graphics cards
4 20.1 inch flat screen LCD monitors
7.1 speaker system
X-Fi Xtreme Audio sound card
Ageia Physx Card
3.2 GB of DDR2 RAM

The X-Fi sound card and the Physx card kept giving us an IRQ conflict BSOD. We simply removed the physx card and the problem was solved!

Aside from possibly having to update your computer, Vista is going to be THE best OS in the next year to come. Get prepared or get left behind. Take the jump and get the new OS. Vista is going to change technology for the better so stick with it and keep at it.

I have searched the net for hours on end. For days, weeks and months at a time looking for the easiest possible way to make money. Like most of you, I started with Google Ad-words and Google Ad-sense. It did not take to long for me to end up in a $30 hole. I owe Google and it's probably because of my inability to write decent sales adds. I actually managed to find a place to make money with 0 risk. This is the FIRST fully supported online money making project for GetOnePC. Now you may be asking what is the AC banner all about.

Well, when it comes to writing and getting your stuff actually noticed, there is simply no other place to get input on what you write. The community is thriving and growing larger and larger each and every day. The requirements for the articles are pretty fair. For the written articles the only requirement is that it has to be at least 400 words. The videos that you can post are only limited to Rated PG content and no more than 15MB in file size. You can litterally write or make a video about anything your heart desires. It is great to get some practice with your writing skills and/or video producing skills. I choose AC for 2 main reasons.

As time goes by I will learn what grabs peoples attention and what doesn't. This in turn will help me to write more successful sales ads.
I get paid to do it! :)

Thats right, I get paid to improve my writing skills. Now before you jump the gun and get all excited I must tell you that the pay isn't that great. The gist of it is that you can get paid anywhere from $3 - $40 per article/video. But it doesn't stop there. You also recieve bonuses. For every 1000 page views you get, $1.50 will also be sent to paypal account. And when it comes to refferals, I think right now it's around $5 for everyone that joins under you and publishes something.

There is so much to do in this community it isn't even funny. I really enjoy the unique 'clout' feature they use. Your clout is measured by how many page views you have. The more people you get to view your content, the higher your clout is. The higher your clout is, the more you get paid for submiting content (usually).

So let me just break this all down for you. Lets say you have a clout level of about 6 (20k + page views). That means that almost any peice of content you submit, you will get at least $8 for. If you submit 5 pieces of content a day for a week to 5 days straight every week for a month, thats about $200 a month. And since you have a clout level of 6, it is possible that the 20k + people who have seen your content will come back, which means more page views and that converts into more cash. I am just going to add an extra $5-$10 you will earn based solely on getting people to view your content. Do the math...it can add up if you really try. There is no reason that someone can not live comfortably off of about $800+ a month.

But getting page views and recruits are probably the hardest things to do. I have gotten to a clout level of 6 by advertising in the following places...

Myspace
Tagworld
Other online social networks
Various forums I frequent regularly

There are just so many ways to do it and the earning potential is extremely high.

Any time we hear of the phrase MMORPG, we get all gushy inside. Being an addict to MMORPG's we stumbled across this little gem.

Maple Story is a 2D MMORPG. We must admit that although the graphics are 2D, Maple Story does a decent job of earning the title MMORPG. The world you get to explore is very large.

Although we have just begun our journey in this relatively large world we can say that the whole experience is keeping us very excited. We started playing in the middle of last month and log in as often as we can. Not to long ago Maple Story was just updated and the update allows players to get married and have virtual boyfriends and girlfriends. While this really doesn't mean much, we can see that the entire Maple Story community is enjoying it very much.

In the updates, a themed setting was also implemented. Now when you kill creatures there is a chance that tree ornaments will drop which you can place on the Maple Story christmas tree.

Aside from all the goodies, this MMORPG is pretty much like the rest. You create a character and do quests and kill creatures to become stronger. At the level of 10 (or 8 if you want to be a mage) you can then pick your class. When I say that you can do quests to become stronger, take that lightly. Through actual game-play experience and listening to gossip, we hear that quests are few and far between. That means that you will be spending a lot of time grinding. But that really isn't a problem due to the massive size of the Maple Story world. It's actually fun to grind as you go from island to island exploring the world.

Our experiences in Maple Story is off to a great start and we are enjoying the game still. More info about this exciting game will be published as we come across it.

Second Life - Is it really your second chance to make $1 million?!?!

It's all over the net, if you didn't know what second life was last month you probably do now. Anshe Chung has made $1 million in selling virtual realestate in a game called second life. So what is second life?

Second life is like the Sims on steriods. The game is comepletely free to play and has over 1 million users that log in over the course of a day. You create a character and customize the way you want it to look. This games character creation is beyond perfect. If anything can actually be salvaged from this game, it's the character creation. You will find yourself tyring to decide if your character looks better with high cheek bones, low cheek bones, big or small jowls, pale to black skin, egg shaped head, rounded or more square head, a flat or rounded forehead, arched or straight eyebrows, eye spacing, a lot of freckles or no freckles......you get the point. Anything you can imagine customizing on your character is possible. I have played a lot of games that allow character creation but nothing comes close to what second life has to offer.

After you spend the first several hours customizing your character, you are then cast out to experience the world. The world is created by the inhabitants of second life and is continually growing. You can drive a car, go to a club, get a job, watch porn, watch porn or watch porn. The majority of the 'business's' that make up second life are dance clubs, porn spots and casinos.

There could be more that this game has to offer, but we just haven't been able to spend enough time it to find anything but casinos and porn spots. So, whats the purpose of all these places? Do people actually find it fun to run a casino? I don't think they really care if it's fun or not, all they are concerned with is making L$ (linden dollars, the in-game currency). It just so happens that players are able to exchange the L$ for REAL US $$. Thats right, play a game to make money. If ever there was a game to do it in, this would be it. But don't get your underpants in a knott, making L$ isn't very easy. There are several spots all over the place that allow you to spend 10-30 minutes sitting in one spot to earn a quick 1L$, but aside from that getting L$ is much like making money in real life.....if not worse. Find a job and keep at it, eventually you should have enough L$ to actually enjoy the finer parst of the game.

Anshe Chung, virtual real estate broker made $1 million dollars. Simply by creating houses, islands and other objects that were sold with L$ and converted into US $$. Now guess what? The amount of people who play second life have skyrocketed ( I wonder why). There have been several rumors floating around that people, besides Anshe, actually make a living off of this game.

We just don't buy it.

Is there money to be made in Second Life? Yes, it is possible to become very wealthy from playing second life. But, it's probably not going to happen. Probability and possiblility are two entirely different things. Right now, if you were to jump in all the hype and bust out a well thought out business that fullfilled a need in great demand you could probably cash in and laugh all the way to the bank. But if your new, forget it. There are just to many things to learn and learning how to do things will cost you L$! It's like real life, nothing is free!

So, if your thinking about playing Second Life to be the next Anshe Chung, good luck! The market is so small that the 'top dogs' already have out out gunned. Advertising and competing has no bounds in this world! Even then, don't expect to make a lot of money over night. Thats not how it's going to work. Build a shop, set up your items and hope they sell....that pretty much sums it up. You can sell anything from clothes to character animations.

If you want to make money with this game, you better set up shop quick. It isn't going to take to long before you start seeing shops in different places offering the same items.

The talk of GetOnePC right now is this amazing game. Guild Wars in a free to play MMORPG. It simply doesn't get any better than this. You put the two words together, MMORPG and FREE, find another game like it and I don't think it could be near as good as this game.

Made by the 'old' blizzard employees who brought us Starcraft and Diablo, Guild Wars is an MMORPG centered around Player Vs Player combat. While there is enough PvE in this game to choke a horse, it becomes quickly apparent that it was built for PvP. With Nightfall, you get a choice of several different classes. Warrior, Monk, Assassin, Necromancer, Elementalist, Ranger, Paragon, Dervish, Ritualist and Mesmer. For the first time in MMORPG history, you are allowed to cross class! That means if you feel like being a plate mail toting mage, then go ahead.

This MMORPG is about the same as any other in all other aspects. You play the game doing quest after quest to level up your character. With a level cap of 20, it doesn't take to long to reach it. After you have hit level 20, you will be spending the game gathing faction points for purchasing better skills, farming for materials to craft better armor and weapons or just having fun in PvP.

There is something really unique about this game that sets it apart from other PvP MMO's. Guild Wars offers you the ability to create a guild and go head to head against another guild. You gain faction points and guild points that entitle you to certain titles and will unlock certain items and skills that you couldn't get otherwise.

There is enough content in the game to last you a while. Here it is, 40hours into the game and we are still finding new things to do! If you're on a tight budget and are just dying to try out an MMORPG, this is the game for you.

After spending a few months on trying to figure out how to successfully sell something on line I have came to a rather disturbing conclusion. Before I tell you what my thoughts are on selling on-line, let me tell you what it's all about.

Do a search on google on how to make money online. You will see an endless amount of sales pitches telling you to buy this e-book or buy that e-book. After making several purchases I found out that they all have one thing in common.

They tell you to do the exact same thing!

They all tell you do to the exact same thing. So do yourself a favor and save some money by reading what I have to say. Before you buy another dead end e-book I am going to tell you what is in all the e-book s you have bought in the past, and what is in all the e-books you will probably buy in the future.

1. Sign up to be an affiliate at Clickbank, Commision Junction or some other affiliate.
2. Sign up for google adwords.
3. Do a little market research and find out what's 'hot' and whats selling like crazy.
4. Go to clickbank, generate an affiliate link, and start promoting that product
5. Watch the money roll in.

Now, some books will go as far to tell you that you need your own website to help better promote the e-book. And few of them will even give you "secrets of success" for making more sales. Here and there an e-book will come out claiming to have all the answers to your prayers and let you in on all the secrets that will make your ad pitches actually sell a product.

It's all craps, and frankly I am tired of reading about it and hearing about it.

The above process is just an elaborate scheme by some sick and twisted individuals! Seriously, if you think about it you will start seeing what I am talking about.

Hundreds, if not thousands of people are buying up these 'online money making secrets' books telling you that you can make money to if you just do what they do. Either by re-selling their e-book or promoting and selling someone elses e-book. Please, if you happen to make money doing this, get in contact with me! I am just dying to figure out how you do it (No sales pitches please, I am already broke and probably own the e-book you will try to sell me).

They tell you to do research. While this is a good tip, it's common sense. Basically when you buy a marketing e-book, you're just spending $20-$100 for someone else to tell you to do research and sell someone else's product.

It's crap, it doesn't work for me and I don't know anybody it has worked for. And I am FED UP with all of it.

So I am going to try something different. Instead of promoting other peoples product, I am going to make my own! I figured if people are actually buying all these books and I am not the one selling to them then what the hell am I trying to sell the product for?!? The competition is just to great. Unless you have the money to bid $5 on all of the keywords relevant to your product, you're screwed.

The sick thing is that I think other internet marketers understand this and exploit the hell out of it. They simply make an e-book that teaches others how to make money. When actually, the only thing they are doing, is teaching others how to effectively sell their product! I seriously think that all the top internet marketers get together and and come up with an idea on how to teach others to effectively sell their products and fill 80% of their e-books with bullshit about how much money you can make doing it.
The truth of the matter is that, when it comes to digital media (like e-books), sales are finite. There is only going to be X amount of people that are going to rush out and buy the e-book. Do you know who these people are??

Other internet marketers that are looking for new products to promote and sell on-line.

The cold hard truth about how internet marketers make money is that they do their research and are the FIRST ONES TO SELL NEW PRODUCTS. I know, it's crap! If you sign up to be an affiliate with clickbank and choose a product to start promoting, I garuantee you that the product you try to sell is at least 2 months old.

90% of all internet marketing books will tell you to do what I listed above. Why do they do this? Why are there so many e-books out there on the exact same topic? It's simple....

They want you to believe that there is a lot of money to be made doing it!

Is it possible to make money doing it? Yes! Is it probable? NO!

The only people making the BIG $ are those who create their own products that are to be re-sold by affiliates, and those who are the first to start re-selling the new products.

That is the answer to the question of why there are so many e-books out there about the exact same topic. It's easy to sell a book about this appealing way to make money. It's sounds to good to be true...and it IS. All the tips they give you and all the insider information they give is only doing 1 thing for sure, which is ensuring that the gurus keep making money.

In a sense, you end up running their business for them by making the 1% of random sales that they base their entire income on (which is a huge lie!). They don't make money from the 'average joe' that just stumbles onto their ad page and decides to give marketing a try. They make money by the little guys (other internet marketers) that are trying to earn a living by re-selling the new product. With the amount of information that is out there, they know that at least 50% of them are trained and will be successful. Let me break this down for you a little better.

Gurus:
Gurus make up roughly 2% of the entire population of internet marketers. These are the guys that set the trends, create the products and make the 6-7 figure incomes. Right now, the top selling trends, all they do is teach you how to make them money.

Top Internet Marketers:
This makes up roughly 15% of the entire population of internet marketers. These are the guys that jump on the new products that the Gurus come out with and are the first ones to purchase the new products made by the gurus (This is where the bulk of the money that the gurus makes come from (in order for the top internet marketers to make appealing ad's and successfully sell the product, they have to buy into it and see what it's all about)). They are also the first ones to do it! Because they are the first ones to do it, they will end up making a little pocket change by selling to the 'bottom feeders'. These are probably what makes up the majority of the success stories you have read. If it wasn't for these guys, the Gurus would be out of a job.

Bottom Feeders:
Guess what, if your not making a 4 (or even 3) figure income a month with affiliate sales, this is you! Bottom feeders are what makes up the remaining 83% of internet marketers. These are the guys that just randomly decide to start becoming an internet marketer one day. Ironically, without these guys, the top internet gurus would be out of a job. These are the guys that will literally spend 100's of thousands of dollars on any piece of information that will earn them more money. Generally, it takes about $5000 worth of e-books and several months for a bottom feeder to graduate to a top internet marketer status.

So there you have it, internet marketing in a nutshell :)

If your a freelance writer, or if you just write a lot on your computer, boy do I have a gem for you!

Dragon Naturally Speaking is a fantastic piece of software that will do wonders for you. Simply talk into a microphone and everything you say will be "dictated" or typed into a text editor of your choice. You can use it with Notepad, WordPad, MSWord or any other windows text editor of your choosing.

Pros:

Since you can probably talk a lot faster than you type, you can create extremely long pieces of text work in a matter of a few minutes
It's up to 98% accurate. It has a built in spell check feature, but you still may need to revise the grammar.
Voice recognition! Not only can you use it to write up articles or other text documents, you can pretty much use it to run your computer.
It can do just about everything, run programs, turn off your computer, create new documents, edit all parts of a document. It can even surf the web!
Easy to use!

Cons:

You may have to learn how to talk correctly (Gasp!!)
Price
So many commands. If you want to learn how to use this product to its fullest, your going to have to learn all the commands and trust me, there are a lot!
It has problems deciding what to dictate and what not to dictate. I wouldn't recommend using this if you have a cold, for example. It will try to figure out what you are trying to say with all the sniffles and coughs.
When your setting it up, speak clearly or your going to have hell with this software.

There are several different version of this software. Ranging from personal use to professional use. I have only purchased this product for personal use. Coming in at around $150 (depending on where you get it) it will put a whole in your wallet! But the pros greatly out weigh the cons! The amount of time it saves is invaluable.

I have been a freelance writer for about 5 months now and I can tell you that I have almost tripled what I made the past 4 months when I got this product simple because I was able to write up more articles in a shorter amount of time. If you write for a living, I urge you to get this as soon as you can. You will be amazed at how fast you will be able to pop out quality articles, ebooks or ezine ads with this.

Even if your just a computer geek, surprise your friends and family by running your computer by voice commands. It's voice protected as well, which means that it will not understand anything other people tell it. When you go through the initial setup process it keeps track of your voice. Every pitch and every tone will be "remembered" by the program. If someone jumps on your computer and tries to use it under your settings, nothing will happen!

Sadly, there is no demo or 30-day trial. I am afraid you're just going to have to take our word for it. I must admit that I to was extremely skeptical when I was purchasing this product, but hey, it comes with a money back garuntee so I figured, 'what the hell, it's worth a shot'.

Was I disappointed? No, in fact I was surprised that it worked as good as it did. At $150-$180, you get what you pay for...which is a lot!
